Franklin A. Lyons
Franklin A. Lyons is passionate about defending the interests of accused persons as part of the fantastic team at Edward H. Royle & Partners LLP.
Mr. Lyons is a graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and has completed a Masters in Law at Osgoode Hall Law School. He has received his Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University.
During law school, Mr. Lyons worked at a boutique litigation firm in Windsor, primarily in the criminal law department. After law school, Mr. Lyons articled with the Crown Attorney’s Office and was hired back after his call to the bar in 2008. As a former Assistant Crown Attorney in Ontario, he is thoroughly familiar with the Ministry of the Attorney General’s guidelines and procedures with respect to the prosecution and sentencing of criminal and quasi-criminal offences.
Mr. Lyons has successfully defended accused persons, ranging from the homeless to working professionals, in the Ontario Court of Jusice, Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Court of Appeal. He values his relationships with his clients which has resulted in loyalty and trust. Most of all, he takes pride in the outcomes he has helped them secure.
