Tori-Lee Jenkins earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in Criminology with a minor in French Language Studies from the University of Windsor. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor as well, where she focused her studies in the area of criminal law.
While in law school, Ms. Jenkins volunteered with the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, held an executive position with Windsor Law in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted in association with Innocence Canada, and participated in mooting competitions, all while working three jobs. Ms. Jenkins also specialized in criminal law through an Access to Justice lens, paying particular attention to racial discrimination in the justice system and Indigenous legal issues. Her work in this area has led her to receive numerous academic awards.
