W. Calvin Rosemond
W. Calvin Rosemond is a litigator who holds a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Development, with a minor in Economics from McGill University. He completed a Juris Doctor, at both the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy. During his legal education, Mr. Rosemond worked at Community Legal Aid. Before joining Edward H. Royle & Partners LLP, Mr. Rosemond summered and articled at a prestigious full-service criminal law office in Toronto.
Mr. Rosemond has passionately advocated for human rights in a variety of positions around the world. He founded the Debate Union in law school and went on to win the 66th Winter Carnival North American Debate Championship in his final year of study. Mr. Rosemond has won and judged debate championships internationally.
Mr. Rosemond has experience thoroughly representing individuals charged with a diverse range of offences. Mr. Rosemond is a clever advocate with a compelling courtroom presence. He believes that everyone has the right to a fair trial and that guilty pleas ought only be entered as a last resort.
Mr. Rosemond speaks functional Spanish and can communicate in French.
