Rachel McKenzie

Summer Student

Rachel is in her third year at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. Before law school, Rachel completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, graduating with High Distinction, where she majored in Criminology, and minored in both Law and Human Rights.

Rachel is passionate about helping others. This forms the foundation of her desire to work in the legal field and allows her to be a fearless advocate for those around her.

During law school, Rachel has gained broad exposure and experience. From working with sole practioners in criminal defence, to conducting research for a professor in refugee law and completing a summer job in corporate law. Each of these experiences has allowed Rachel to gain valuable skills and competencies. Additionally, Rachel has been a member of the Women’s Legal Education Association and founded the Animal Justice Club at her law school.
